Election week, briefly (factual)

We are celebrating a historic election week in the United States. Zinvora is not affiliated with or endorsed by any campaign or candidate.

New York City mayor results (2025)

Democrat Zohran Mamdani won New York City’s mayoral election on November 4, 2025. The Associated Press called the race on election night; later, certified citywide totals reported by The New York Times listed 1,114,184 votes (50.8%) for Mamdani, 906,614 (41.3%) for Andrew Cuomo on an independent line, and 153,749 (7.0%) for Republican Curtis Sliwa, with more than 2.19 million votes in that certified presentation. The New York City Board of Elections’ Statement and Return Report for Certification documents the official canvass. ABC7 New York, citing the Board, reported turnout above two million—the first mayoral race to clear that mark since 1969 in that account.

Mamdani took the oath on January 1, 2026 and is listed as the 112th Mayor of New York City on the official Mayor’s Office site. This section is civic context for election week only—not a product endorsement by any candidate.

Michigan Senate race (2026) — projected, not certified here

Michigan voters cast U.S. Senate ballots on November 3, 2026. CBS News wrote that Democrat Abdul El-Sayed defeated former GOP Rep. Mike Rogers, “CBS News projects,” in one of the cycle’s most contentious contests, retaining the seat for Democrats after Sen. Gary Peters opted not to seek reelection. AP, NBC, The Washington Post and The Guardian published matching call narratives. NBC and others framed El-Sayed as poised to become the first Muslim elected U.S. senator.

Status rule for this post (dated November 6, 2026): the outcome is a media projection. Michigan’s canvass/certification calendar can continue after election night. This site does not publish a definitive official statewide percentage until a state certification source is in hand. Live widgets during research showed incomplete figures; we omit fragile numbers on purpose.
